Alan R Potter MBE, MPhil, DSc (Hon), FIBMS
Managing Director
Alan originally trained and qualified in Biomedical Science before becoming a hospital general manager and then CEO of a major science professional body. He founded Brunel Microscopes in 1983 and was made MBE in 2006 for services to science and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science degree by the University of Westminster in 2007. He has held part time lecturing posts at the Universities of the West of England, Southampton, Cardiff and Portsmouth.
In addition to general microscopy Alan has a particular interest in Polarising and Fluorescence microscopy.
Helen Murray BSc, FIBMS, DIAPR
Sales and Technical Support Manager
Helen originally trained and qualified as a Biomedical Scientist in Ireland with qualifications in Immunology, Haematology and Blood Transfusion. She has a post graduate qualification in marketing and joined the Brunel Microscopes Ltd senior management team in 1999.
In addition to general microscopy Helen has a particular interest and expertise in Photomicrography and Digital Image capture, and provides technical support on all aspects of microscopy in a pre and post sales capacity.
