polarisation microscopy is available as a full day course. you will learn:

 

- polarisation microscopy overview     

 - adjusting of birefringent objects     

 - the principles and effect of retardation plates     

 - the use of the bertrand lens

 

this course is suitable for those who need the skills and knowledge to examine materials under polarised light in detail (geology, trichology etc.).

 

participants are requested to fill out a simple questionnaire prior to the course to assess existing microscopy knowledge in order to ensure the programme is as relevant as possible.
