elementary specimen preparation is available as a half or full day course. you will learn:

 

- how to make wet preparations     

 - the use and types of fixative     

 - the types and use of mountants     

 - the use of cavity and aluminium well slides     

 - slide ringing and the use of a ringing table     

 - smear preparation     

 - elementary staining     

 - dry mounts

 

this course is suitable for whom the preparation of slide mounts is an essential part of their microscopy application. this course is for the beginner.

 

participants are requested to fill out a simple questionnaire prior to the course to assess existing microscopy knowledge in order to ensure the programme is as relevant as possible.
