advanced microscopy is available as a full day course. you will learn:  

 

 - designs and specifications of objective lenses     

 - criteria defining image quality     

 - the principles and use of kohler illumination     

 - specimen measurement     

 - dark ground microscopy     

 - phase contrast microscopy     

 - polarisation microscopy     

 - the principles and use of fluorescence microscopy

 

this course is suitable for those who have already mastered the basics and wish to extend the application and use of their microscopes, and their own knowledge and skills.

 

participants are requested to fill out a simple questionnaire prior to the course to assess existing microscopy knowledge in order to ensure the programme is as relevant as possible.
